Until International students started raising their voices on social media. With time, this has become a universal issue. Afterward, universities started looking forward to this case and analyzing international students.

Hence, the statistics of 2023 have shown almost 76% of international students go through mental health challenges. Due to this, young scholars are discouraged from joining international universities.

What could be the reasons behind this issue?

Getting entry forms asking everywhere to follow rules isn’t enough. Universities need to realise the upcoming batches need to feel like home. In that case, universities need to spread awareness for communicating.

Similarly, most universities started communities that are only to talk to newbies at the start of the semester. In this, they will get to talk about their inner anxiety to some professionals. One to mention, there are professionals in that community.

2. Open house seminars:

You must have seen multiple open house seminars in international universities. Moreover, people are suggested to attend these seminars. In these, symptoms and reasons of mental illness are identified. Consequently, people would be acknowledged and get help as soon as possible.

Thus, these seminars are a great way to communicate and boost networking. You can also help others in their crucial times and create harmony among the students

3. Free mental health screening:

Another great way is monitoring and screening students’ mental health. Most universities are giving free checkups for the students. In this, you would need to answer some questions and a professional will identify them.

This whole process is to maintain peace in the university. For all the good reasons, students are more relieved in such environments. This has made the universities at the top globally. The structure and environment matter a lot for international students.

4. Counselling communities:

There are communities and societies in every university. All those communities are for the extracurricular activities in institutes. Thus, there are counseling communities in universities that help students. These communities are for the services of students. In case of any emergency, mental or physical, they would be there.

Hence, you can have a talk with these communities. Meet amazing people and have suggestions from them. Most of them are seniors guiding their juniors and helping them.
